The Backwaters of Kerala

Last post I showed pictures from the boat on which we sailed the backwaters of Kerala. Now it's time to show a few pictures of what there is to see:

Another house boat in front of us on one of the many canals surrounded by palm trees.

A little house by the waterfront. As you can see this area is incredible lush and green.

The biggest flock of ducks I have ever seen! Click on the picture to enlarge and see how many there actually are.

African moss - in reality a harmful plant brought to India by the british. A classical example of colonial ecopollution. It does look very beautiful however.
